A week ago I spent a very happy Friday morning at the American Cemetery in Madingley, close to Cambridge, teaching someone who is progressing towards an RPS distinction. It's a fabulous location, and one which is beautifully looked after. Not an easy place to photograph, though - especially in the height of Summer when the the only colours available are the green of the grass and the gleaming white of the marble headstones. I managed to take a few sneaky shots during the morning, and wondered what they'd look like in monochrome. Well, these are the results...
