Crufts (part 4)

No - the poodle is neither a Hound nor a Terrier, but was at one of the trade stands being given a new hair-do.

The wolf hounds were very gentle and placid considering their enormous size.

Never work with children or animals, unless absolutely necessary.  This is one of the "real" photographers attempting to get a wide-angle shot of one of the dogs (and failing miserably).

Whippets and greyhounds always look so mournful - to my eyes, anyway.

 Now, I would have enjoyed seeing the borzoi with hair which matched that of its owner...

The beagles were lovely, although many had just been abandoned in cages.

This set finishes with one of the blood hounds.  Very gentle and friendly, but I do worry about those eyes...

This is the penultimate set, you'll be pleased to hear.  Just be thankful I didn't go on the gundog day!

Crufts (part 3)

I've always loved West Highland Whites, as we used to have one at home while I was growing up.  Ours was always scruffy and filthy, though, so it was interesting to see the efforts which some people will go to in order to achieve that "Persil" look.  I confess I was dismayed when the hair spray came out, though...

Another matching dog/owner pair, with colour-coordinated outfits.

The bull terriers were fun, although I must confess that I've never found them terribly attractive.

A few pampered pooches to complete this set.

Crufts (part 2)

The last week has been horrendously busy preparing for the Cambridge Camera Club exhibition, but I've managed to find some time to process the rest of my Crufts pictures.  Here is the second set...

It's always said that dogs and their owners look alike!

I'm not quite sure what the judge is doing with his left hand here, but I'm certainly glad I'm not that dog...

Crufts (part 1)

It's been a horrendously busy month, with very little time for photography.  Izzi and I managed to spend today at Crufts, however, for the Terriers & Hounds.  I've barely had chance to download the pictures, but here is a taster of a few which have been processed so far.  Heaven alone knows when I'll get round to processing the rest, but that's another story...
